Project Overview
The 1 St Chapel-en-le-Frith Scout HQ recently underwent a full refurbishment to modernize their main hall and enhance its functionality for close to 100 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers every week. The project aimed to create a welcoming, organized, and visually engaging environment for both scouts and the wider local community.
Challenge
The Scout Group needed a practical yet visually appealing way to display notices, achievements, and section information. They also required a solution that could improve the hall’s acoustics for meetings and activities while meeting fire safety regulations.
Solution
We supplied the Midnight colour MiBoard from the MiCalm range enabling the creation of a continuous central band around the main hall. This solution:
- Acts as a visual break in the hall’s oak panelling.
- Provides functional noticeboards for each scout section and community group.
- Offers sound-absorbing properties, reducing echo and creating a more comfortable environment.
- Is fire-retardant, meeting safety standards for busy community spaces.
